The June 24^th New Beginnings Luncheon and Silent Auction at the Doubletree Hotel was a huge success!!!!!  Just fewer than 300 individuals attended the event and we had lots of elected officials and other dignitaries there, including County Judge Nelson Wolff, four State representatives, two County Commissioners and 15 judges!  Steve Spriester did a fantastic job as our Master of Ceremonies, Father David Garcia blessed us with an inspiring and timely message, and Aurora enthusiastically accepted the “John Byrd Community Service Award”.  We were excited to see Jason Byrd, John Byrd’s son, in the audience. Finally, our very own outgoing Board member, Tom Duesing, was rendered practically speechless upon receiving a surprise award for his six years of dedication and service to BCDM!!!!

A very big and loud “thank you” to everyone who bought tickets, tables, or donated or bought silent auction items.  We are grateful for your help in making this event, our biggest fundraiser of the year, so meaningful and successful!!!
